Ashi Waza which means foot/leg techniques are some of the trickiest and aesthetically pleasing techniques in all of Judo. Big powerful throws can be over emphasized in the sport of Judo. While they are undoubtedly essential, simple foot sweeps can be just as effective at winning a match! The problem is that sometimes Ashi Waza techniques can be seen as elusive or too advanced. Shintaro Higashi looks to clear up these misconceptions by providing you a clear-cut strategy on how to set up and execute a wide range of Ashi Waza techniques!
Shintaro Higashi is a true student of martial arts. He is a red and white belt in Judo as well as a brown belt in BJJ, and also has competitive wrestling experience! Throughout his Judo Journey Shintaro has competed in the international circuit and has taught Judo for over a decade! In that time he has honed in his Ashi Waza techniques into a practical system that people of all experience levels can make use of.
As an added bonus, the series includes Shintaro’s Uchi Mata series. Here he teaches one of his favorite throws that he uses to set up Ashi Waza techniques, and vice versa!
