We Hope You Enjoy The Free Video Below With 5x Black Belt World Champion Bernardo Faria! Here, Bernardo RevealsThe Biggest
Mistake Guys Over 30 Make In BJJ
The biggest mistake that older guys make in bjj is trying to learn too much instead of focusing on a small amount of techniques and positions and mastering those.
For example, let's look at this infamous quote by Bruce Lee "I fear the man who practiced 1 kick 10,000 times more than the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks 1 time."
This is the philosophy that Bernardo is trying to emphasize. His game is exactly like this quote. Bernardo likes 2 positions from bottom and 1 position from top, Half Guard, Deep Half Guard and The Over/Under Pass. If you know Bernardo, you know this is "his game."
Bernardo has utilized these positions both in training and competition thousands and thousands of time. He knows the timing, the reactions, the technique, and all the possible situations he may encounter FROM THESE THREE POSITIONS.
The biggest mistake people make is trying to practice 10,000 kicks instead of choosing 1 or 2 kicks and to practice 10,000 times. You need to develop "YOUR" game and have positions that you have been in more than your training partner.
Now that you know the biggest mistake you can make in BJJ are you ready to change your entire game? Bernardo has spent years developing his system
If you notice, Bernardo has a very conceptual approach to developing your Jiu Jitsu. He emphasizes the fact that you have to make your opponent play your game and dictate the position. You also have to choose a game that does not require athleticism, flexibility, or strength. That is why his half guard and pressure passing game is the PERFECT game for anybody over 30. Slow down those young scrappy kids by using techniques that are made to slow down the pace and give you all the control.
