What Will You Learn?
With today’s modern guards, passing has become even more difficult! Troy Manning, founder of the No Gi Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Australia, has developed a systematic approach to solving this common problem in the realm of No-Gi Grappling. His latest instructional, The No-Gi Guard Passing System is a 2-part series dedicated to passing some of the most commonly used guards at ALL levels of the sport with an easy-to-follow system that grapplers of all shapes and sizes can use!
The series opens up with passing the De La Riva, Reverse DLR, and Open Guard. This is important because it is one of the most common scenarios in No-Gi grappling. When attempting to pass the guard many grapplers, especially as a beginner, prefer to put pressure on their opponent. Some Guard players design their game around avoiding pressure by opening up for sweeps and submission attempts from these three guards. Troy unwinds all of the variables with these positions and allows you to either work your way in to apply pressure, or simply go right around their guard!
Check Out This Under The Leg Pass!
Troy’s system will take you through multiple phases of passing. Whether you are passing open guard from your feet, or working your way into passes from your knees, part 1 of the series will have you covered. Part 2 of No-Gi Guard Passing System focuses on more up close and personal passes where you will learn to apply immense pressure on positions like z-guard, half guard, and even closed guard.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, or prefer mobility passes over pressure passes, The No-Gi Passing System has you covered. Troy Manning offers a unique blend of passes that link together or work on their own through a clear and concise teaching style that ANYONE can benefit from!
