Patricky Freire versus Ryan Scope
Patricky "Pitbull" Freire (21-8, 14-7 in Bellator) stayed on top of the Bellator lightweight division by beating Ryan Scope (10-2, 0-1 in Bellator), by split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) in the main event of the evening. In the first round, Pitbull was able to knock down Ryan Scope with a punch combination and knee, but Scope was able to recover. As the match progressed, Ryan Scope was able to gain momentum with punches and kicks, and even spent the last 20 seconds of the fight on Patricky's back. While Pitbull was declared the winner by split decision, the crowd was clearly rooting for their fellow Englishman, Ryan Scope, and booed when the decision was announced.
Corey Browning versus Aaron Chalmers
In the co-main event, Corey Browning (4-1, 2-0 in Bellator) was able to submit British reality television start Aaron Chalmers in the third round of their lightweight match. Browning was able to heel hook Chalmers in the first minute of the third round. Chalmers appeared in the reality show Geordie Shore and Ex on the Beach, and began his mixed martial arts career in May 2017. During the fight, Chalmers nearly finished the fight in the first round, when he knocked down Browning with a hook. Chalmers thought the fight was over and started to walk away, but the referee did not stop the fight, and Browning was able to get back up, and not only finish the round, but dominate it.
