What Will You Learn?

Jay Wadsworth is one of our favorites here at BJJ Fanatics, for his technical style, years of coaching experience, and for his talent at innovating. Fighters and coaches in BJJ are constantly finding new ways to attack and defend from common positions, and sometimes along the way inventing entirely new guards! Now after some time on the mats experimenting and perfecting, Jay is here to introduce his brand new guard: the 92 double Sleeve guard!

This evolution of the half guard/knee shield position has kept Jay better able to defend, more able to attack, and (maybe most importantly) it stops anyone with bad intentions from pressuring in and smashing their way through your guard! By combining this with his wicked De La Riva attacks, Jay has made a technical one-two punch that you just have to see. Being ground down into the mat can be a thing of the past, with this new two-volume instructional set.

Playing into that knee shield half guard can be a little tricky sometimes. You can keep a bigger, stronger person off of you pretty well, but then you end up trapping yourself. Moving the leg away to attack becomes a lot more risky, and you are always having to fight to keep position. Instead of relying on a position that holds you in place, dig a little deeper and find your way with Jay to a much more dominant position. Instead of struggling force against force, you’ll be in control of your opponent’s sleeve, isolating and dominating while your lower body continues to hook and control.

Your attacks go up AND your defense is rock solid, making this position a huge win/win. Be the first guy in your gym who is attacking from the 92 double sleeve guard!

Jay is typically one of the smaller guys on the mat, so over the years he has had to find answers for attacking, defending, and countering off of his back, and one of his best guards is the classic De La Riva that he uses with a lot of his own modern adjustments. In this instructional set, you’re going to get Jay’s secrets on both his 92 guard and his De La Riva, giving you answers and attacks for anyone looking to pass your guard.

Every good grappler will one day have someone trying to smash and pressure through their guard. Pressure passing is an art, and people use it to win at every level of the sport. What will your answer to it be? For anyone scratching their head at that question, stop now and take another look at this guard, because it can be the solution! With some quick adjustments, you can be redirecting your opponents and keeping control of everything that is going on.

This instructional set is for anyone who is really interested in adding something brand new to their game that has a way for them to immediately use it. This isn’t some new guard to requires fifty steps, or some special kind of strength or flexibility, it’s a position Jay has refined down that anyone can use. Don’t hesitate to improve yourself today with Jay’s all new Precision De La Riva.

Welcome To The All New Precision De La Riva

Follow along as Jay, an experienced black belt, instructor, and police officer, breaks down in full detail exactly what the De La Riva is. You’ll see the benefits, how the position works, and why it is the next step in your half guard game. With entries from tons of other guards, and the basic attacks that you’ll be building off of later, this immersive beginning will give you the tools you need to start experimenting and finding yourself in this position.

Once you have the basics, doubles down on that knowledge by learning you attack after attack that you can chain together from bottom. This is a half guard with some serious bite, and you can always be working towards a new submission or sweep, always one step ahead. You’ll see defenses, set ups to attacks, unique finishes, and even strategy around how to choose the right way to attack. This is a full service master class that you can’t miss!

The 92 double sleeve guard is a way to frustrate anyone who wants to smash and pass their way through your guard, and once you pair it with Jay’s De La Riva guard, it’s a nightmare for the top man. See the little details that makes Jay’s DLR set ups and controls extra secure, and how he uses that hook to control and move his opponent, even those who are much larger! Use your opponent’s momentum against them while you set up these killer DLR sweeps, and then go extra deep while you see how Jay deals with some of the most common defenses you’ll see. This video set holds nothing back when it comes to improving your guard game!
