Andreā Zeitoun, a world-renowned French Muay Thai instructor, is here to lay out a complete foundation of Muay Thai that allows you to increase your skills in an efficient manner! Muay Thai Building Blocks is a 3-part series that covers techniques that can be done solo or with a partner. Andreās solo drills are great for both beginners and veterans alike.
Beginners can use the solo drills to develop essential skills like stance, footwork, and blocking skills. More experienced strikers can use these drills to warm up or even enhance your cardio! Instead of trudging along on a treadmill you can turn up the pace on Andreās drills and increase your Muay Thai-based conditioning.
From there, Andreā adds in drills you can do with a partner. Here you will learn how to throw multiple levels of kicks as well as how to block those kicks! This dual approach teaches you both offensive and defensive aspects of kicking in a very efficient way. Once again this is great for beginners because you can practice slowly and methodically at first until you have the skill to turn it up a notch...or five! Vets can use these drills to focus on not only enhancing their kicking skills but also their sport-specific cardio!
To close Andreā teaches in-depth on the essential strikes of Muay Thai. Here is where will you get to go DEEP on punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. On top of that Andreā teaches some of the finer aspects of the clinch, one of the most important tools of ANY Muay Thai practitioners arsenal.
