In this video Bruno Malfacine explores an inside leg trip from x guard. He starts with the same side collar and sleeve control. He pulls his opponent into him to break his posture. From here he is able to take x guard. He moves his opponent foot to the opposite side of his head. Next, Bruno grabs the sleeve of his opponent near the triceps. He feigns pulling his opponent to his side. He knows if he pulls his opponent, his opponents natural reaction is to push backward. This is a sneaky move to allow him to come up with less resistance. From here he is able to stand up and catch the inside trip.
This video is a wonderful example of Bruno’s ability to communicate technique to even novice grapplers. Like all of Malfacine’s instructional videos, there is a lot of detail.
