Devin Powell began training in MMA so that martial arts could serve as a creative outlet that he needed to cope with the boredom of his day job. Devin Powell then began competing in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments in his area and attained a lot of success.
Devin Powell then began to compete in Amateur MMA in 2010, losing his first match by split decision. This would make Devin Powell take a year off from competing, however when he made his return a year later and would win his next three matches.
Devin Powell would then go on to make his professional debut in 2012 after being ranked #1 among amateur lightweight MMA fighters in the Northeastern United States.
Devin Powell then went on to become the owner of his own MMA gym the Shop MMA academy in Somersworth, New Hampshire, when the gym’s previous owners decided to stop training people.
Devin Powell would then make his World Series Of Fighting (WSOF) debut in June of 2016 beating his opponent by split decision.
