Neiman Gracie’s MMA career began in 2013 when he signed with the World Series of Fighting. He made his debut for the promotion at World Series of Fighting 5: Arlovski vs. Kyle in September 2013. His match was against Darren Costa, and Gracie took the victory with a submission in the first round.

His next fight with the promotion was at World Series of Fighting 11: Gaethje vs. Newell in July 2014. Neiman fought Dustin Holyko, who he beat by submission in the second round. Following this fight in October 2014 it was announced that Gracie, undefeated at the time, had signed a contract with Bellator MMA.

His Bellator debut came against Roger Bears in November 2016 at Bellator 163. Again, Gracie won this bout by submission in the first round. His next fight was against Dave Marfone at Bellator NYC in June 2017. Keeping up with his successful strategy, Gracie won the fight by submission in the second round.

Next, Gracie was expected to fight Javier Torres at Bellator 185 in October 2017. After Torres reported an injury, Gracie's opponent was changed to Zac Bucia. Brennan Ward was supposed to fight against David Rikels in this card, but their match was cancelled so Neiman’s match was elevated to the co-main event. Gracie won this fight with a neck crank submission in the second round.

For his sixth fight for the Bellator promotion, Gracie got his chance to fight Javier Torres at Bellator 198 in April 2018. Gracie won the fight in the second round with an arm-triangle choke submission.

Next, Gracie entered the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix, where he faced Ed Ruth during Dellator 213 in the quarterfinals. After a well fought back and forth match, Garcie was able to pull out the win in the fourth round with a rear naked choke submission. Moving on to the semi-finals, Gracie faced Rory MacDonald at Bellator 222 in June 2019. Gracie lost this fight by unanimous decision.

After the Grand Prix fights Gracie was slated to fight Kiichi Kunimoto in December 2019 at Bellator 236. Gracie reported an injury causing him to withdraw from the fight and he was replaced by Jason Jackson. Gracie’s next fight was in September 2020 against Jon Fitch at Bellator 246. Gracie won the fight with a second round submission. Gracie then had the chance to fight Jason Jackson in April 2021 at Bellator 255, but lost the bout by unanimous decision.

Neiman was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His Jiu Jitsu journey began at the age of 7, and he began his training at the Gracie Barra academy in Rio, where he earned his belts up until his purple belt from his great uncle, Carlos Cracie Junior. His parents moved to the United States in 2007 and Neiman followed, continuing his training where he left off at Renzo Gracie’s academy where he went on to earn both his brown and black belt.

For his MMA training Neiman is currently training out of Kings MMA under Rafael Cordeiro in Huntington Beach, California. Neiman had lived in New York City for many years, but after several circumstances including his belief that New York City was not the best place to raise his young daughter, he made the move to southern California.

Since training at Kings MMA, Neiman has had the opportunity to train with some of the sport's toughest competitors such as Beneil Dariush, Marvin Vittori, Kelvin Gastelum, and many others. Since moving to California he has had the opportunity to be closer to family such as his close childhood friend Chiron Gracie who is the son of Carlos Gracie Junior. He is also around a ton of Gracie Bach facilities founded by Carlos Gracie Junior.

Neiman says that at the age of 8 he really understood what it meant to have the Gracie name. He realized it at his first competition, and quickly realized that it was best for him to not think about it and go on training business as usual. He stated “Being Gracie isn’t going to help you when you’re against the other person. It may give him more will to beat you. I try not to think about it. I’m just thinking about my career and my legacy. ”

It is safe to say that Neiman has created quite the legacy for himself. If he continues with his MMA success, he has the opportunity to become the first Gracie to win an MMA title.
