Tim Sledd is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt instructor representing the ATOS BJJ team from Oceanside, California. Professor Sledd is the Head Instructor and Owner of "Small Axe BJJ" and has the distinct honor of being Andre Galvao's 1st Affiliate Academy and 2nd American Black Belt. He has logged many hours with the World Champions of Team Atos, drilling and refining the Leg Drag position. Tim is a great instructor, known for phrases such as “it’s mechanics, not magic.” He is concept oriented and teaches series of techniques rather than isolated moves. Tim is deceptively strong for his size. His passing is very precise. He focuses on securing dominant grips and pinning his opponent’s legs. Few competitors understand the leg drag as well as Tim Sledd.
