Breaking: AJ Agazarm Signs With Bellator FC For MMA Debut
The Florida Boy will be making the leap to MMA! AJ Agazarm, the Carlson Gracie black belt, made the announcement to Ariel Helwani on "The Helwani Show" that he has signed with Bellator Fighting Championships for his MMA debut. No official fight is announced, but he looks to make his cage debut in early 2019.

The former Division-1 NCAA Wrestler has always been an active competitor, medaling at some of the world's most grueling grappling tournaments, including an IBJJF No Gi Championship and an ADCC runner-up finish in 2017. He will look to bring his same brand of aggressive pressure and top game to the cage, where he will enjoy a grappling advantage over almost anyone he enters the cage against. Agazarm will most likely compete as a featherweight, 145 pounds, joining the same organization as BJJ stars Raphael Lovato, Jr. and Dillon Danis.
Agazarm has been no stranger to BJJ controversy too, a talent that will probably serve him well promoting his MMA fights. He has been outspoken about his victories and has become one of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu's most notorious competitors for this brash style. While BJJ is rooted in its traditions of respect, honor, and healthy competition, modern mixed martial arts often requires a promotional skill that Agazarm has. How far will his skills carry him? Time will tell, but hopefully AJ can continue to prove that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the best form of self defense there is.
