Jiu Jitsu Meets Robin Hood and His Merry Men

Posted by Fanatics Authors on

There’s nothing like real world experience...

And that’s what one Jiu Jitsu class near Robin Hood’s old stomping grounds of Nottingham got when their lesson was interrupted by a couple of vandals who thought it would be fun to throw bricks at cars.

Little did those two vandals know that a group of jiu jiteros were poised to jump into action.

Hearing the noise outside, Shane Mills’s Mpire Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class in Mansfield abruptly stopped training and put their skills into practice.  It wasn’t exactly bows, arrows, swords, and quarter staffs, but Mills’s students were armed with knowledge.

By the time the class got outside, the two vandals had fled, but a witness helped the class—including an off-duty police officer—to locate the two men, who then found themselves on the receiving end of a real-world Jiu Jitsu demonstration.

The students then held the two suspects until authorities arrived to take them into custody.

While this group of do-gooders were not fighting the authorities like Robin Hood’s band did, they didn’t hesitate for a moment to defend the innocent.  Maybe those two suspects should have remembered that the area had a long history of do-gooder vigilantes before they decided to engage in mischief?
