On February 23, 2019, the UFC held their event, UFC Fight Night: Blachowicz vs. Santos, which was held at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. This event was the first time the UFC has held an event in the Czech Republic, and the headliner event was a light heavyweight bout between former KSW Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz and Thiago Santos. Jan Blachowicz is the number four ranked UFC light heavyweight fighter, who came into the fight on a four fight UFC win streak (with a total MMA record of 23 wins and 7 losses, and a 6 wins and 4 losses UFC record.) Thiago Santos came into the bout as the number 6 ranked UFC light heavyweight fighter, with a overall MMA record of 20 wins and 6 losses, and a UFC record of 12 wins and 5 losses. For the first two rounds of the main event, both fighters had exciting back and forth exchanges, with Blachowicz effectively using his jab, and Santos responding with right hand and kicks. However, in the third round, Blachowicz was TKO'd when Santos knocked him down with a left hook, and continued with ground and pound until referee Herb Dean ended the fight. With this victory, Thiago Santos has now won his last four fights in a row, with three of them being finishes.

The co main event was a heavyweight match up between Dutch fighter, Stefan Struve (MMA record of 28-11), who at 7'0" is the tallest fighter in the UFC, versus Brazilian fighter Marcos Rogerio de Lima (MMA record of 16 wins and 6 losses). In the co main event, veteran Stefan Struve survived a lopsided first round, where he was dropped with an overhand right, and then received ground and pound as he was mounted. In the second round, he was able to score a take down on Rogerio de Lima, where has was able to advance to mount and then tap him out with an arm triangle choke. After the fight, Struve indicated that he may retire.
UFC Bonuses and Attendance Numbers:
Thiago Santos, Stefan Struve, Dwight Grant, and Michal Oleksiejczuk all received "Performance of the Night" bonuses, which was an extra $50,000 bonus.
The attendance at the O2 Arena in Prague was announced as a sellout at 16,583 people attending, with a gate of $1.6 million (USD).
