After competing in the amateur ranks in his teens and early 20s, Jason Parillo turned pro at the age of 24. Jason Parillo competed as a professional from 1998 to 2003 and amassed an impressive 8 and 0 record. However due to a detached retina he suffered Jason Parillo was forced to retire from competition.
After a two year break from the sport entirely, Jason Parillo would begin to train others full time.
Eventually, Jason Parillo was approached by his friend Pat Tenore. Tenore is the founder of RVCA, a clothing company that was sponsoring former UFC fighter BJ Penn at the time. Tenore asked Jason Parillo to help BJ Penn work on his boxing for an upcoming fight. From there Jason Parillo began to work with tons of big name fighters, including champions like Michael Bisping, Cris Cyborg, Rafael Dos Anjos and Tito Ortiz.
Parillo is now the head coach of The RVCA Sport Training Center in Costa Mesa, California.
