In 2007 Vladimer Khinchegashvili competed at that year’s Cadet European Championships in Warsaw, Poland. Vladimer Khinchegashvili was just 18 years old at the time and brought home the bronze medal in the 50 kg division.
In 2008, Vladimer Khinchegashvili competed at the Cadet European Championships again, this time in Daugavplis. This time around Vladimer Khinchegashvili would win and take home the gold medal in the 54 kg division. Later that same year Vladimer Khinchegashvili competed at the Junior European Championships in Kosice and took home the gold medal at that event as well.
To round off 2008, Vladimer Khinchegashvili competed at that year’s Junior World Championships in Istanbul and took home the bronze medal in the 50 kg divison.
Vladimer Khinchegashvili then competed again in 2010 once again at the Junior European Championships and Junior World Championships, winning silver and gold at those events respectively. In 2011 Vladimer Khinchegashvili then competed at those same competitions again and took home gold in both divisions.
Vladimer Khinchegashvili also competed at 2011’s European championships in Dortmund and took home the silver medal in the 55 kg division. In 2012 Vladimer Khinchegashvili went to the Summer Olympic Games in London and won the silver medal at 55 kgs.
The next time Vladimer Khinchegashvili would palace at a competition be at the 2013 European Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In 2014 Vladimer Khinchegashvili would have great success at that year’s European Championships, taking home first place in that events 57-kilogram division. That same year Vladimer Khinchegashvili would also do well at the World Championships, taking home silver in the 57-kilogram weight class. In 2015 Vladimer Khinchegashvili once again competed at the World Championships and this time took home the gold medal in the 57 kg division.
In 2016 Vladimer Khinchegashvili competed at the 2016 World Cup in Los Angeles and took home the bronze medal in the 57 kg division. That same year Vladimer Khinchegashvili competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro and took the gold medal for the men’s 57 kg division back home to Georgia with him.
In 2017, Vladimer Khinchegashvili took home the bronze medal at the 2017 World Championships in Paris. That same year at the European Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia and this time he took home the gold medal in the 61 kg division.
In the next year’s European Championships Vladimer Khinchegashvili took home the bronze medal.
The last big medal that Vladimer Khinchegashvili won was at the 2019 European Games, where he won the silver medal at that events 65 kg division.
Most recently Vladimer Khinchegashvili competed at the 2020 European Championships. But unfortunately did not place.
