Antonio Carlos Junior, also known as Cara de Sapato (which means Shoe Face in english), is a Brazilian Mixed Martial Artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor who currently competes for the PFL. Antonio Carlos Junior is most well known for his time in the UFC. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Hélder "Bob Esponja" Medeiros and currently fights out of American Top Team.

Before competing in MMA, Antonio Carlos Junior competed in the global level of several Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments. This includes the 2010 World Championships, the 2012 Pan American Championships and the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in 2012. 

Antonio Carlos Junior got his big break when he appeared on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 as a part of that season's heavyweight cast. Antonio Carlos Junior Guilherme Viana via TKO to become an official cast member and move into that season's Ultimate Fighter House. 

Antonio Carlos Junior was then the second overall pick and the first person to join team Wanderlei Silva that season. Antonio Carlos Junior would then go on to win the heavyweight portion of the The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 tournament by defeating Vitor Miranda in the finale via a unanimous decision. 

From there Antonio Carlos Junior would become an official member of the UFC’s roster. Eventually after spending 7 years as a part of the UFC, Antonio Carlos Junior would sign with the PFL to compete in their 2021 season and he has been there ever since.

Antonio Carlos Junior would go on to have his stint in the Ultimate Fighter Season: Brazil Season 3. For the show Antonio Carlos Junior faced off against Guilherme Viana in the elimination round, Edgard Castaldelli Filho in the preliminary round and Marcos Rogério de Lima in the semifinal round. He finished all of these opponent’s in the first round.
