Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Briazil, Rodrigo Artilheiro is a world class Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Wrestling competitor who currently holds the rank of 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Rodrigo began his martial arts training at the age of 5, following in the footsteps of his father, Arnaldo Walmory Artilheiro, a highly accomplished Brazilian Judoka. At the age of 16, Rodrigo began training Brazilian Jiu Jiitsu under the late great Carlson Gracie. Rodrigo went on to earn his black belt in Judo in 2001 and his black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2009 under former two time Brazilian National and World Jiu Jitsu Champion, Amaury Bitetti.

Rodrigo Artilheiro Biography

Rodrigo Artilheiro is a former Coach of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil with Vitor Belfort and has trained and coached many notable UFC fighter including Brian Stann, Randy Couture, Forrest Griffin, Mirko Cro Cop, Lyoto Machida, and current UFC contenders – Vitor Belfort, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, and Raphael Assuncao, to name a few.

In addition to coaching and training professional fighters,Rodrigo has run Brazilian Jiu Jitsu children’s programs at several gyms in Brazil and the U.S. and conducted seminars for various police departments and armed forces, including the honor of being Special Guest Instructor for the U.S. Army National Guard Combatives Level One Certification in 2010.
