Cedric began his martial arts journey began with Karate but he then quickly went on to train in old school American kickboxing, which is “full contact” but oddly does not allow kicks to the legs. That style also had the fighters wear long shiny pants for some unexplainable reason

Cedric Doumbe made his Glory Kickboxing debut in 2015 at Glory 22: Lille being a late replacement. Cedric Doumbe’s debut, unfortunately, did not go his way as he lost to Yoann Kongolo via unanimous decision.

Cedric Doumbe’s first professional fight was in 2013 at Boxing Factory Trophy 2013 against Josh Granet. Cedric Doumbe won that match by KO in the third round. After that match, Cedric Doumbe went on to compete in local shows mainly in France.
Cedric Doumbe then went on to make his unsuccessful Glory Kickboxing debut in 2015, after which he returned to competing in smaller shows in Europe and Asia to hone his craft.
Immediately after his Glory debut loss, Cedric Doumbe competed in the A1 World Grand Prix, in the 75 kg weight class. Cedric Doumbe went on to win that tournament with one KO in the semi-finals and a unanimous decision in the finals of the tournament.
After a few more matches, Cedric Doumbe made his return to Glory Kickboxing at Glory 28: Paris against Murthel Groenhart. Doumbe won the match via a unanimous decision. After that match, Cedric Doumbe once again returned to competing in smaller organizations around the world. Over the next 8 fights he’d have in just under a year he would win all of them.
Cedric Doumbe then made his return to Glory Kickboxing at Glory: Collision in Germany where Doumbe would face off against Nieky Holzken for the Glory kickboxing Welterweight title.
Cedric Doumbe would win the match via split decision and would start his first reign as Welterweight champion.
Cedric Doumbe would then defend the title twice, once against Yoann Kongolo and again in a rematch with Neiky Holzken, both fights went to decision.
Cedric Doumbe would then lose the title via a split decision at Glory 44: Chicago to Murthel Groenhart. After winning 4 out of his next 5 fights Cedric Doumbe would get to challenge for the Welterweight title again against Harut Grigorian. Cedric Doumbe went on to win the match and the title back after scoring a TKO victory over Harut Grigorian.
Since then Cedric Doumbe went on to win his next three matches and defend the title each time. In his most recent match at the time of writing, Cedric Doumbe defended his title against Murthel Groenhart and won the match via KO in the second round at Glory 77: Rotterdam.

Cedric Doumbe has had a ton of amazing performances in his career but for us, his best was his rematch against Alim Nabiev for the Glory Welterweight title. Alim Nabiev was able to score a split decision victory a few years before the rematch and Cedric Doumbe wanted the win back.
After showing a ton of aggression in the fight Cedric Doumbe was able to score a massive knockdown with an overhand as Alim Nabiev went of a clinch knee. Nabiev was able to get back to his feet but Cedric Doumbe quickly went for the kill and after landing another big right hand Cedric Doumbe put down Nabiev for good.
