Nikki Sullivan has competed at a ton of high-level competitions in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, including the IBJJF worlds, the Pan Americans and the World Championships.
Nikki Sullivan was always an active person growing up. She was an active soccer competitor in high school. Nikki Sullivan first got into martial arts in her freshman year at Indiana University, which was well known for having one of the top martial arts programs in the entire country.
With that being the case, Nikki Sullivan decided to take up the Taekwondo course in her first year. After getting disillusioned with the Korean art after her first because of its lack of practicality, she stop training in martial arts altogether until her final year.
In order to boost her grades in her last year, Nikki Sullivan took up both Hapkido and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and found that she enjoyed both of them much more. She would eventually earn black belts in both arts years afterwards.
