While he was in high school, Nick Gwiazdowski was a 2 time NYSPHSAA (New York) Division II state champion and gained a perfect 50 and 0 record in his senior year. ON top of that impressively perfect record, he managed to not have a single opponent go a full match against him. 

After graduating from high school, Nick Gwiazdowski would first attend Binghamton University until transferring to North Carolina State University. Nick Gwiazdowski is a two-time NCAA Division I National Champion, winning the honour when he was competing for the North Carolina State University wrestling team, the North Carolina State Wolfpack. 

After graduating from university, Nick Gwiazdowski would go on to train out of the Titan Mercury Wrestling Club for his Freestyle career.

Nick Gwiazdowski would then compete next at the 2016 US Olympic team trials. After only beating 2 out of his 4 total opponents he would come in fourth place. 

He would then go on to make his next appearance at the 2016 US University Nationals and would come back to winning first place after winning all of his seven matches. 

Nick Gwiazdowski would then make his next appearance at the 2016 Ziolkowski International and take home 3rd place after losing his first match but then winning in his next two. 

Nick Gwiazdowski then competed at the 2016 International Cup where he would get to the finals but then lose and take home second place. 

Then as a part of Titan Mercury Wrestling Club, Nick Gwiazdowski would compete at the 2016 World Clubs Cup where he as a part of TMWC he would take home first place. 

Nick Gwiazdowski then made his next big appearance at the 2017 world cup but end up taking home second place. 

Nick Gwiazdowski would then have a hot streak starting at the 2017 US Open where he would win all 5 of his matches and take home first place. He would win gold again at the US World Team Trials after winning all three of his matches and qualify for the US team. 

Nick Gwiazdowski would end this hot streak at the 2017 Spain Grand Prix, beating all 3 of his opponents to win in his division. 

Nick Gwiazdowski then made his appearance at the 2017 World Championships and take home 3rd place after beating 4 out of his 5 opponents. 

Nick Gwiazdowski then made his next big competition appearance at the 2018 Pan American Championships where he would take home first place after beating all 3 of his opponents. 

Nick Gwiazdowski would then also qualify for the US team at the 2018 US World Team Trials after winning all three of his matches. 

Nick Gwiazdowski then won his next big tournament at the 2019 Pan American Championships where he beat all 4 of his opponents and win gold. He would then go on to win gold at the US World Team Trials that same year.

Most recently, Nick Gwiazdowski won at the 2021 US Open after defeating all 4 of his opponents.
