What this article covers:

Nisar first got introduced to martial arts at the young age of 8 when he took a karate class but he wouldn’t get past white best in that style before quitting. Eventually when Nisar was in his mid-teens his interest in martial arts would start up again when his parents signed him up for a jiu-jitsu school due to him having behavioural issues and them hoping that the art would keep him out of trouble.

Nisar first trained under a purple belt before eventually working under a black belt by the name of Tony Passos, who, after 6 months of training with, Nisar decided he wanted to pursue a career in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

In order to further grow in his BJJ skills, Nisar Loynab moved to San Deigo in 2009 when he was just a blue belt and still not even 18 years old yet to train with both Saulo and Alexandre Ribeiro.

While training with the Ribeiro brothers at the Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu Association Nisar earned his purple belt and at 18 years old after graduating high school, finally became a full-time athlete.

While he was training at the Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu Association, Nisar noticed that the nearby Atos academy, run and coached by Andre Galvao, was dominating the local competition scene in California. Despite having success with the Ribeiro brothers, after a long time of thinking about it, Nisar made the tough decision to switch gyms and begin training at Atos under Galvao.

There Nisar would be promoted to brown belt and eventually, he would earn the title of black belt in 2018, both from Galvao.
