What this article covers:

Quentin was a late comer to Athletics in general and credits his mother with getting him into grappling arts in the first place. When he was about 16 years old Quinton was getting into trouble at school and she thought that he needed something to keep him busy in the hours that followed education. It was this time when he joined the KnuckleUp gym in Atlanta georgia, where he began with boxing and eventually transitioned into wrestling.

After a few years of competitive grappling, Rosenzweig was introduced to the 10th Planet style of grappling by Marvin Castelle. Castelle was visiting from Atlanta and talking to Quentin about Eddie Bravo's revolutionary 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu system, which was much more focused on leg entanglement systems than traditional Jujitsu schools were.

The interested Rosenzweig found himself taking a trip to 10th planet schools To see what they were all about. The rising star found that he enjoyed the style employed by Bravo and his no-gi compatriots, so he joined 10th planet and the rest is history.

In the years That followed Quentin Rosenzweig became an integral part of Bravo's 10th planet squad, and a well-known representative of the leg-based style. After a period of time, Rosenzweig began to teach the style as well. Eventually, he opened his own School in Savannah Georgia where he now teaches 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu full time. Quentin Rosenzweig’s style is largely influenced by Bravo, who himself was influenced by the legendary Jean-Jacques Machado. His favorite position is the 50/50 position, from where he likes to look for inside heel hooks among other things.

His biggest achievements in the grappling world so far was winning the Onnit 205 Invitational at which he was able to submit to well-known black belts in Roberto Jimenez and Kyle Boehm. It is a goal of Quintin’s to win ADCC and to spread his love of both Jiu-Jitsu and catch wrestling to others around the world.

Out of interest in merging the two styles, Rosenzweig challenged well-known catch wrestler current Jacobs to a catch wrestling match, in which he used a jiu-jitsu-based style to defeat the catch wrestler 2-0, submitting him two times with both an armbar and a kneebar. This match seems to have done a lot to settle the debate for now, although there will always be those who champion one style over the other.

For now, Quinton Rosenzweig lives in Savannah, Georgia where he teaches, films instructional content, and continues to practice his skills in preparation for his next run at an ADCC title.
