Garry Tonon's Best Fight of All Time
Garry Tonon's best submission grappling match is hard to nail down. Some might argue his back and forth match with Kron Gracie within the ADCC where Garry Tonon was able to defend some of the tightest submissions by the Brazilian grappling legend would be the match that truly put Garry on the map as one of the most exciting grapplers in history.
His match with brutal leg locker Rousimar Palhares in the Polaris grappling promotion in England could also be argued as his greatest match. The back and forth battle between the much larger Brazilian, known to violently finish leg submissions and who had been released by the UFC for his penchant to hold a submission far after a referee stoppage, will go down in history as a true nail-biter. Though no clear victor was named and the match was determined to be a draw, Garry Tonon's performance was a clear victory for his brand and his reputation as a gamer who would take on any opponent.
