Who Did Domenic Abounader Lose To?
Every athlete faces hardships, and Domenic is no stranger to losses. Despite having well over 200 wins in wrestling competition, he also has a few losses. In the 2018 Asian games, Abounader was representing his father’s homeland of Lebanon on the international scene. He stomped his way through the early rounds of the tournament to find himself in the finals. Unfortunately, he lost to Iran's Hassan Yazdani in the final match of the men's freestyle 86 kg division.
Still, Domenic took home a silver medal to Lebanon- the first wrestler to do so in an international freestyle wrestling competition. He’ll continue to compete for the next several years and improve on these stats.
