James Booth is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Daniel Gracie, and is currently the head Jiu Jitsu coach at Grindhouse MMA. In his younger years of Jiu Jitsu competition, he placed 3rd in the Brown Belt Ultra Heavy division at the World Championships held in California.
Some of his other accomplishments include placing second at the Boston Open, as well as having defeated the reigning world champion of the Professional Grappling League in 2015. In 2013 he was the Abu Dhabi World Cup Super Heavy Champion at the East Coast trials.
James is particularly known for his positive teaching style and the interactiveness of his classes that help students really engage and pick up skills quickly. The massive success of Grindhouse MMA is largely due to the teachings of James Booth.
He holds a 2-0 secord in Fight to Win, numerous NAGA Championships, and a bronze medal in IBJJF World Championships. He has been in Lancaster and Philadelphia PA for the majority of his life and career. Booth also signed a deal with MMA Tee Company as a sponsored Jiu Jitsu athlete.
