Who Is Talita Alencar?

Talita Alencar is a fierce Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor, who has achieved multiple accomplishments. She was graded to Black belt under Theodoro Canal and Julio Cesar Pereira from Alliance BJJ and GF Team. Talita is a 7 time World Champion including 5 World titles as a Black belt. She has also won an Abu Dhabi World Pro and other events like;the Pan American Championships, the UAEJJF Grand Slam, the European Championships and the American Nationals.

After receiving her Black belt in 2016, Talita had aspirations of moving to California and living the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle as a full time competitor. Talita was extremely loyal to the GF Team and Theodoro Canal, which made a move to Los Angeles difficult due to the lack of a strong team in LA. Talita and her coach discussed the possibilities of a move to the US, and with the help of the Alliance Academy in Los Angeles, an agreement was made. In August 2016 Talita moved to Los Angeles and became a part of Alliance or otherwise known as Cobrinha Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Fitness. Talita's goals for Jiu Jitsu would now be possible as she began her assault into the professional grappling circuit in America.

Moving to the United States proved to be the right move for Talita, as she took out the NoGi World Championships in the Lightweight division with a domination over Emily Thylin. Talita also placed second at the American Nationals and third in the Absolute division. In 2017 Talita would have an outstanding year as she won two IBJJF World Championships, this time in the NoGi featherweight division she narrowly beat Yasmine Wilson on points. Talita also defeated Gezary Matuda in the Gi category in the light featherweight division. Talita also won the Pan American Championships with a win over Kristina Barlaan, and she won both the UAEJJF Abu Dhabi Grand Slam and the Abu Dhabi World Pro with a win over Great Britain's Vanessa English. 

In 2018 Talita came close to another IBJJF World title, as she won the Silver medal after losing to Amanda Monteiro Canuto. Talita also placed second at the Pan American Championships and third at the UAEJJF Abu Dhabi World Pro. In 2019 Talita lost fights to Ffion Davies, Laurah Hallock, Amanda Monteiro Canuto and Karen Antunes. Talita also won the Fight 2 Win Flyweight title with a win over Amanda Monteiro Canuto. She also won another NoGi World Championship as she defeated Heather Raferty 3 points to 1. Talita competed at the Kasai Super Series in Orlando where she won the super fight against Sofia Amarante.

Over the last two years Talita has achieved more accolades like winning the European Championships with a win over Naomi Martin. She has also won two Fight 2 Win Championship title belts. She won the Flyweight Black Belt NoGi Title with a win over her nemesis Heather Raftery and she defeated Gabrielle McComb in a close fight, to win the Female Flyweight Title. In July of 2021 Talita had her first ever MMA fight at Titan FC, where she secured a Rear Naked Choke victory in the first round against Staci Vega. In October of 2021 Talita won her fourth NoGi World Championship as she secured a 4 - 0 victory over Gabrielle McComb. Talita has achieved a multitude of amazing title wins as she has fast become one of the best female fighters in the world.

How Old Is Talita Alencar?

Talita Alencar was born in Brazil in the countryside of Maranhao, in a city called Carutapera. Talita was born on the 17th of October in 1990, she is currently 31 years of age.

Talita Alencar's Early Life!

Talita Alencar grew up in Brazil, and for most children in the South American country, surfing, fighting or soccer were the main interests. Talita began swimming from the age of 4 and as she grew, surfing became one of her favourite pastimes. Talita was training hard for the next 7 years as she set her sights on becoming a triathlete. Talita also practised longboarding which is a form of skating and started training in Capoeira. At the age of 9 Talita moved to Fortaleza in the state of Ceara. During her teenage years, Talita was slowly losing motivation with her triathlon career and as she started dating Helio Mourao, she decided to follow his sporting passion. Talita also witnessed her mother suffering from marital abuse so she began training Jiu Jitsu at the academy of Pirillo Roriz.

After Talita's relationship with Helio Brokedown, she kept up her training with Bruno Leandro at Academia Blec. Talita stayed with Bruno until she was promoted to her Blue belt. Talita decided to move to Rio De Janeiro, where she joined the ranks under  Theodoro Canal at GF Team Recreio, one of Brazil's most famous academies. Talita worked extremely hard for the next four years before earning her Purple belt. Talita was becoming a Jiu Jitsu sensation as she won an American National title and the IBJJF NoGi World Championship. After securing silver medals at the Pan Americans and the European Open as a Brown belt, in 2016 Talita then won the IBJJF World Championship. After winning the world title, Talita was surprised as Julio Cesar Pereira under the consent of Theodoro Canal promoted her to Black belt while she was on the podium.

Talita Alencar's Best Fight Of All Time! 

Talita Alencar has become a formidable champion in the world arena of grappling. She has won multiple titles throughout her Black belt reign in the flyweight division. Talita has won seven IBJJF World Championships, one at Purple belt, one at Brown belt and 5 as a Black belt including 4 of them in the NoGi category. In 2016 in her first year as a Black belt, Talita competed in the Lightweight NoGi World Championships. After dominating her way through the competition, she continued her ferocity into the final defeating Emily Thylin 15 points to 2. Talita's best win came in 2021 at 31 years of age, as she once again won the coveted crown of the NoGi World Championship. Talita defeated Taylor Sausser in the semi final before taking a 4 - 0 win over Gabrielle McComb. This was the second time she has defeated Gabrielle in 2021, as in January she won the Fight 2 Win Women's Flyweight title with a split decision win.

Who Did Talita Alencar Lose To?

Talita Alencar has become an outstanding grappler in the women's division. She has fought against some incredibly talented world class athletes throughout her career. Talita was defeated in June of 2020 at the Fight 2 Win promotion. Talita faced off against Nathalie Ribeiro for the F2W 130 pound Championship, after a close fight Talita lost a split decision. After an exceptional string of wins at the 2020 European Open, Talitha was outclassed in the final against Ana Rodrigues. Talita has also lost against Karen Antunes twice at Fight 2 Win 106 and 134, in both shows Talita lost in referee decisions, as Karen won title belts in both matches in the flyweight division.  Talita has also lost to other athletes like;Amanda Monteiro Canuto, Laura Hallock and the super star Ffion Davies at Polaris 11 in a 15 minute superfight.

In 2020 she decided to have her first ever MMA fight at Titan FC, where she defeated Staci Vega. Talita has also won a recent World Championship in 2021 defeating Gabrielle McComb. Talita is living her dream of residing in America and competing as a professional grappler, as she heads towards a future Hall of Fame selection.
