Dan Theodore is a former professional Mixed Martial Artist who has fought in promotions like;Extreme Challenge, Total Combat Challenge, Pancrase and Indiana Martial Arts Challenge. Dan began training in Martial Arts from the age of 9 with his sights firmly set on becoming a movie star. As Dan delved into the world of Martial Arts he became the first Black belt in his Taekwondo gym, and began teaching classes from an early age. During school Dan experienced many forms of Martial Arts in his quest to soak in as much knowledge as possible. Dan ventured off into high school where he began studying criminal justice, film and acting. Dan finished high school and entered into university where he began taking Judo and Aikido classes. During university Dan invested heavily and opened a self defense club and an MMA/Pankration/Grappling club.

In 1995 during his freshman year Dan discovered the UFC while hanging out with his friends. After watching the videos Dan and his friends began grappling and practicing all the submission holds they watched on the screen. Dan spoke about how impressed he was watching Dan the Beast Severn. The following year Dan received a call from Dan Severn asking him to join him at his training barn. Dan Theodore headed into Dan Severn's gym and as he walked in the door the song "Little Red Riding Hood" by Sam the Sham was playing on the radio, from that moment on Dan Theodore was known as "The Wolfman". 

Over the next few years Dan moved around a lot as he sourced the most knowledgeable and high level Martial Artists to learn from. After spending 2 years with Dan Severn he started training with the BJJ Black belt Marcelo Grosso from Brazilian Top Team. Six months later Dan spent the next 8 months training at Team Punishment with Tito Ortiz and Quinten Rampage Jackson and then with Tank Abbott. Dan had a thrill for fighting as he spent the next 14 months intensifying his training by working with MFS in Iowa (Miletich Fighting System) sparring alongside greats like;Matt Hughes, Tim Sylvia and Spencer Fisher. During his time in Iowa Dan also volunteered as a fireman. For the next year Dan trained under the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu standout Saulo Ribeiro, where Dan started to learn some serious grappling skills. For the next 2 and a half years Dan joined up with Eddie Bravo at 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, as Dan started training alongside Joe Rogan and Ethan Suplee. Over the next few years Dan would also train with greats like Gokor, Gene LeBell, Lyoto Machida, Roger Gracie, and Azuma Sensei.

Dan Theodore was born in Detroit Michigan in the United States of America on the 20th of April in 1977, he is currently 44 years  of age.

Dan is one of the premier coaches of Martial Arts in the world today. He has an amazing wealth of knowledge over all disciplines of fighting styles. Dan has taught Martial Arts at various gyms, clubs, schools and universities all over Canada and the United States. Dan has worked extensively with troubled youth as he has volunteered his time to help turn their behavior around through the programs he offers. Dan has hosted many seminars world wide including US Air Force personnel in Japan. Dan grew up with dreams of becoming an action or comedic filmstar. Dan has acted and performed stunts in TV and films including becoming a stunt double for Sylvester Stallone in a VW Brazil commercial, he also doubled for Jason Sklar on a Bank of America advertisement. Dan has worked on projects with Sons of Anarchy, NCIS, CSI New York and Reel Steel. Dan worked with Vince Vaughn on the movie Couples Retreat by helping to improve some of the comedic antidotes. Dan also had a small part alongside Jimmy Smits in the TV game show "Hole in the Wall" where MMA fighters took on Backyard wrestlers. Dan has fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming a tv and film star, as he has future aspirations of working in more up and coming projects.

Dan Theodore’s Fight Career!

Dan Theodore has had a short and interesting fight career in Mixed martial Arts. Dan managed to execute two first round submission wins against Tony Hymon (keylock) at Total Combat Challenge and Jeremy Morrison (Armbar) at Indiana Martial Arts Challenge 2. Dan suffered a loss to Dennis Reed at EC 9 (TKO Punches) in 1997. In the year 2000 Dan would lose again to the Japanese highlight reel Yuki Kondo at the Pancrase Neo Blood Tournament. Yuki would finish Dan three minutes into the first round with a slick kneebar. In 2001 Dan went head to head with the up and coming Jeremy Horn in a battle that lasted nearly two rounds, before Jeremy landed a knee to the head and won by KO. 

Dan also had some fights in Japan where he squared up against Susumu Yamazaki in the first World Daidojuku Kudo World Championships. Dan was a gallant competitor but was outclassed by the Judo Master. Dan also fought Tony Galindo who was one of Ken Shamrock's students, where Dan managed to land various spinning attacks on his opponent. After the event Dan was approached by Pride FC who took him back to Japan where he took part in an hour long fight at Takada Dojo. After putting in an outstanding performance Dan earned the right to train for two weeks alongside Kasushi Sakuraba. Dan took part in the third Kudo World Championships as he put up a spirited effort, but once again lost to a more seasoned fighter.

Dan has competed exceptionally well in Jiu Jitsu tournaments throughout his career. He has submitted a vast amount of his opponents in multiple submission challenges and international events. 

During Dan's time training with Team Punishment, he was covering an MMA event for "Ultimate Athlete Magazine". Near the end of the event Tito Ortiz told Dan to chuck his shorts on because he had entered him in the advanced division. Dan would face off against KO specialist "Scary" Jerry Vrbanovic, Dan managed to secure an armbar finish on the 310 pound monster. Dan advanced to the next round after no rest as he squared off against the UFC and Strikeforce legend Jason "Mayhem" Miller. In a tough battle that went the distance Dan was beaten on points.
