Bellator 212: “Salute the Troops” aired Fri., Dec. 14, 2018 in Honolulu, Hawaii from Neal S. Blaisdell Arena. The night proved exciting. Here are some highlights: Bellator 212 Highlights
Michael Chandler V. Brent Primus
Round 1 - Primus starts the round with a healthy combination of strikes. He peppers jabs and leg kicks. Chandler lands a left hook. It buckles Primus. The fight goes to the ground. Primus threatens an arm bar. Chandler defends. Chandler lands elbows and continues landing blows until the bell sounds.
Round 2: Primus opens the round with more kicks. He eats a sharp jab from Chandler. Primus counters with a jab. The action continues. Chandler is dropped with a checked hook. Primus is quick to Chandlers back and fights for the rear naked choke. However, chandler is able to spin into guard. Primus throws up a triangle however Chandler postures up and throws a heavy hand. Chandler continues the ground and pound. The round ends.
Round 3: Chandler starts off the round with a leg kick and punch. Primus peppers a jab. Chandler takes the fight to the floor. He maintains top side control and while laying down some more ground and pound.
Round 4 and 5: More of the same. Chandler gets the fight to the canvas and peppers Primus with short strikes.
Chandler is victories via decision.

A.J. McKee had an impressive victory via submission. A.J. McKee was pitted against Daniel Crawford. McKee taps Crawford via anaconda choke. McKee landed a big take down against Crawford. Crawford looks for a leg lock. McKee spins an out and counter with an anaconda choke. Crawford taps.

Frank Mir vs. Javy Ayala — Ayala def. Mir by submission due to strikes in Round Two.

Alejandra Lara vs. Juliana Velasquez — Velasquez defeats Lara by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27).
A.J. McKee vs. Daniel Crawford — McKee defeats Crawford by submission (anaconda choke) in Round One.
Robson Gracie Jr. vs. Brysen Bolahao — Gracie defeats Bolahao by submission (rear naked choke) in Round Two.
Tywan Claxton vs. Kaeo Meyer — Claxton defeats Meyer by TKO in Round One.
Brandon Pieper vs. Chris Avila — Avila defeats Pieper by submission (rear naked choke) in Round One.
