Gordon Ryan weight

Gordon Ryan, the dominant force in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling, competes predominantly in the heavyweight and absolute divisions. As of my last update in September 2021, he weighed around 218 pounds (99 kilograms).

Known for his remarkable athleticism and tactical prowess, Ryan maintains a muscular and fit physique, essential for his competitive edge. It's noteworthy that he puts significant focus on his nutrition and diet, which plays a pivotal role in his weight management. His weight class allows him to compete against diverse opponents, displaying his impressive all-around grappling ability. It's a testament to his training and discipline that he's able to maintain his weight while undergoing such a demanding training schedule.

What really makes a super star fighting athlete ... or any athlete is hard work.

Which brings us to Gordon's Halloween training post. All we can say is WOW. How does he handle that much training volume!!!??! Most of us are lucking to get 4-5 times a week on the mat, this kid is training 4-5x a DAY!

This is what makes a super star KING grappler.

Here's a quick recap of his training schedule:

  • woke up at 545 to get to 745 class with danaher where we drilled and trained until 915.
  • 930 I did my MMA drills led by John Danaher until 1040
  • Taught a private directly after from 1040 until 1140.
  • Ate some food and showered.
  • Rested from 1215 to 1230
  • Took John Danaher's second class of drilling and training ending at around 230.
  • Ate some food and got ready to watch Garry Tonon spar in his last days of MMA camp which ended around 330.
  • Ate more food and slept from 4-5 On the mats.
  • 5 I taught an hour long private
  • Then another hour long private from 6-7.
  • Did an interview from 7-730.
  • At 730 I taught the night class Renzo Gracie Academy until 9 pm.
  • Showered and went to lift weights from 930 until 11.
  • After eating pizza I got on the subway to head home and it's now 1130
  • 1130 post training schedule on Instagram

Our question is - how does he EAT enough to maintain that level of training and his jacked-ness??

What we do know is that he takes is training regimen and diet very, very seriously... and for him, his diet is probably all about how much food he can stuff in his body daily to keep this training routine up!

Gordon Ryan Before and After

Gordon Ryan's journey to becoming the "King" of Modern No Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / Submission Grappling is an awe-inspiring tale of transformation. Before he embraced the world of martial arts, he was just a regular teenager with no apparent connection to the sport. The "before" Gordon was not necessarily athletic and had little exposure to the demanding world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Fast forward a few years, and the "after" presents a completely transformed individual. With years of intense training, disciplined lifestyle, and unyielding dedication, Gordon Ryan has become a dominant figure in the BJJ and grappling world. His physique has evolved significantly, now characterized by prominent muscularity and athleticism. In terms of skills, he's transitioned from being an inexperienced teenager to a fearsome and respected competitor, renowned for his comprehensive grappling skills and tactical expertise. This astounding transformation is a testament to Gordon's hard work, natural ability, and the top-tier training he received at the Renzo Gracie Academy in NYC.

Gordon Ryan owes a lot of his success to John Danaher. While you and I will probably never get to experience the level of training that Gordon receives from John, nor the world class level of training partners he gets to roll with daily ... we can get an insight into the concepts, mindset, and techniques that makes Gordon Ryan (and the rest of the Danaher Death Squad) one of the best ever.

    Gordon Ryan Girlfriend

Gordon Ryan is not only known for his impressive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills but also for his relationship with his long-time girlfriend, Nathalia Santoro. As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, Nathalia is a fitness instructor, professional bodybuilder, and Brazilian model.

The couple often shares glimpses of their life together on social media, showcasing their shared commitment to fitness and athleticism. Nathalia has been seen supporting Gordon at his matches and training sessions, and the two appear to share a strong bond. They are both dedicated to their respective sports and often share insights into their training regimens, diets, and lifestyle, reflecting their shared dedication to excellence in their fields. It's clear that Nathalia's support and their shared passion for fitness play a significant role in Gordon's journey in the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
