49-year-old William Kenneth Bosley Jr., the owner of Uniontown Fight Club, is facing multiple charges of sexually based crimes against a minor according to CBS.

Pennsylvania State Police stated, on Thursday, that over the course of a two year period Bosley allegedly sexually assaulted the victim. He allegedly asked her about her sexual experiences and offered to teach her.

Bosley is facing the following charges: photographing, videotaping, depicting on computer or filming sexual acts of a child;statutory sexual assault, and aggravated indecent assault.

Tommy Costa, Bill’s instructor, issued this statement on Facebook, “Bill was my student and everyone at Uniontown fight club was a part of my gyms family as well. I am close to this situation, I know the victims and I believe them. I have talked with the other coaches and senior team members over the weekend and none of us had any idea that this was going on. We are all absolutely heartbroken. Myself, Aj Bosley, and the other coaches have permanently removed Bill from the gym and he will not be a part of the martial arts community anywhere if we have anything to do with it. I will be at Uniontown fight club tonight to teach practice and to hold a meeting to talk about what we are going to do in the future, what we are doing about the past, and to answer questions and allow anyone to speak. If anyone has any questions they can contact me directly. Again we are all absolutely heartbroken, our family is fractured. A man that we thought we knew turned out to be a monster. We all stand with the victims 100%. Uniontown fight club may cease to exist but a new team and family will emerge to continue the positive things that were going on there. I am not going to turn my back on my students and friends because of the indiscretions and disgusting behavior of someone else. We are not going to let this man ruin something positive for everyone else. I could easily turn my back and walk away but we are going to stick together and clean up this mess and support victims.”

It is a sad day for the Jiu Jitsu community. Jiu Jitsu gyms should be a family. They should prepare us for the evils of the outside world. Thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and everyone impacted.
