2018 IBJJF Worlds Results
Our friends over at BJJ World put together this ultra concise breakdown of all of the winners at this weekend's IBJJF World Championships. It was a weekend filled with amazing jiu jitsu, phenomenal victories and crushing defeats, some of which were extremely controversial.
Some of the highlights include Mikey Musemeci becoming the first American grappler to win two IBJJF World Championships. After setting the record for most world championships Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida selflessly closed out the Absolute Division by conceding the win to the injured Leandro Lo. Bruno Malficine retires after winning his 10th world championship. And after a controversial loss, Keenan Cornelius has taken to his social media outlets to call into question the officiating, the IBJJF itself, and the media coverage of the event by FloGrappling. This story will continue to evolve over the coming days.
