Can Intermittent Fasting Change Your Life?
Posted by Fanatics Authors on
Our nutrition can have an amazing impact on our daily life. Typically the focus is on what we eat and how much we eat when any attempt to "eat healthier" is made. But what about WHEN we eat? How does the frequency and timing of our meals affect our daily life and athletic performance?
Intermittent fasting has recently become a game changing approach to diet and nutrition that has helped competitive athletes and the everyday person improve their health, lose weight, gain muscle mass, and feel better about themselves.
Rather than a traditional eating schedule where meals are spaced out throughout the day (anywhere from three or more), the intermittent fasting approach restricts eating to a specific window of time during the day and then this feeding window is followed by a period of fasting, usually lasting 12 or more hours.
MMA Champion and competitive combat athlete, Georges St. Pierre recently shared with Joe Rogan during an interview on his popular podcast, how the approach of intermittent fasting had made positive changes in his life.
BJJ Fanatics and Tom DeBlass have created a resource called 12 Weeks to Ripped that details how ADCC and UFC veteran Tom DeBlass stays in the best shape of his life in his mid-30s. This approach is easy to follow and is built on a foundation of intermittent fasting which can help give you more energy and allow you to be more active, as you get into the best shape of your life.
Check out 12 Weeks to Ripped and get yourself started on the path of intermittent fasting and feel the benefits for yourself.
