Kayla Harrison Is Returning to the Cage New Year’s Eve

Kayla Harrison will be returning to the cage to fight Moriel Charneski. The bout is scheduled New Year’s Eve at Madison Square Garden on PFL 11. The fight will take place at 155 pounds.
Harrison is no stranger to the grappling community. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist in Judo. Additionally she has medaled in the Pan American Judo Championships, Pan American Games and World Judo Championship.
Kayla has two wins in PFL. One win was via TKO. The other win was via arm bar.

Moriel Charneski has 3 wins and 4 losses. All her wins have been via TKO.
Additionally, PFL has announced that Kayla will take part in its 155 pound tournament. The tournament is slated for next year. This will be the first female tournament in the promotion’s history. The winner is set to earn $1 million.
Other Olympic Judokas that have transitioned to MMA are Ronda Rousey and Rick Hawn.
The card should be exciting for the grappling community. In addition to Kayla’s bout, Vinny Magalhães is also slated to fight on the card.
