Rachael Ostovich’s Husband Arrested On Suspicion Of Second Degree Attempted Murder

Arnold Berdon, Rachael Ostovich’s husband, claims self-defense.

The Honolulu Police Department spokesperson stated Rachael Ostovich’s husband was arrested on suspicion of second degree attempted murder. If found guilty, Berdon could be facing life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The Honolulu Police Department spokesperson previously confirmed that they opened an investigation on “27-year-old female victim and a 27-year-old male suspect,” She also confirmed that “The victim suffered head injuries and was treated at a hospital.” Rachael suffered a broken orbital bone.

Arnold Berdon, Rachael’s husband, turned himself in. According to a TMZ report, Berdon claims he acted in self-defense after Rachael attacked him.

Records indicate that Ostovich filed a temporary restraining order Monday.

Rachael Ostovich is familiar to many in the grappling community. She has four wins via submission. One of these wins is counted as an exhibition bout since it happened on The Ultimate Fighter TV show. Ostovich is a UFC flyweight and cast member of The Ultimate Fighter. Ostovich lost in the quarterfinals of The Ultimate Fighter. She was brought back for the season finale and defeated Karine Gevorgyan in the first round via submission. In her last fight, she lost via submission to Montana De La Rosa.

Rachael was scheduled to fight Paige VanZant on UFC’s card January 19th. However the bout has been canceled.
